The barista was extremely nice! He did an amazing job making our coffees

If you are traveling around Mcgill University then this is a must visit place for you!! I often try their cappuccino, latte and Americano. They don't offer an exceptional taste or quality of coffee but you will get the standard quality of drinks and other foods with a welcoming smile of their staff! Besides, I love their interior decoration which creates a positive vibe inside the cafe. An ideal place for a date or for a meeting!

I honestly had low expectations for the coffee since it's part of a hotel, but honestly, it's probably the best tasting cafe I had so far in Montreal (and I have tried most of the known coffee shops in town). Will be back NchAllah

Update: I'm editing my review to include an incredible experience I had today. Since my umbrella was wet from the rain, I left it in the stand near the door. But when I was about to leave I noticed my umbrella was missing. I don't know whether someone took it by mistake or if it was an act of theft. Anyway, when I brought the issue to the lovely barista, an employee of the hotel (Nathanael) overheard my concern and offered to help. He literally went out in rain and got me a new umbrella! Just asked me to return it once I got something of my own. This should be a textbook example of going above and beyond. Goes to show how some employees take pride in their work and elevate the customer experience even if they don't have to. I'd cherish this kind gesture forever. Original review: I'm officially in love with this cute little cafe. Doesn't feel like a typical "designed by corporate" or "trying to be hip" cafe. Instead, it makes you feel as if you've stepped into your study in your home. I tried their latte and croissant; they were good. Barista was nice and polite.

Hidden gem for coffee and snacks! Pastries are made in-house by a truly amazing French pastry chef. The coffee is really good as well and the place very cozy, welcoming and good for studying. Highly recommend.

Chill little spot and the barista made me an excellent dirty chai. Perfect texture taste and temperature. WiFi working great. Decent prices. In fact, I find some of the coffee drinks to be bit cheaper than other places. So that’s a plus. Enjoy.

Ambrose Café is a hidden gem in downtown Montreal! The drinks are incredible! I especially love their matcha and hot chocolate as well. And the service is so kind and attentive! Ruth is an exceptional human being and makes our time at Ambrose amazing! The cafe is such a great place for students downtown and anyone that wants a cozy environment to just relax and have a great drink.
